Parliament of the Maldives has voted to dismiss Chief Justice Abdullah Didi and Justice Adam Mohammed from the Supreme Court.

The parliament made this decision after the Judicial Service Commission submitted a report they wrote after investigating the judges.

A total of 69 MPs voted in favour of dismissing the two judges. Last week the JSC issued a statement saying that the Chief Justice and Justice Adam has not been conducting themselves as expected from judges.

The JSC dismissed the judges after suspending them for 60 days.
