Former Islamic Minister Dr.Shaheem Ali Saeed has stated that MDP cannot stop his political work or religious work and that he will not bow down to the Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP). 

In addition Dr.Shaheem tweeted saying that the MDP government under former President Nasheed never gave any chance to Dr.Afrasheem to appear on TV, and that it was him as Islamic Minister who gave that opportunity to Dr.Afrasheem during President Waheed’s administration. 

Furthermore he said that it is worrying that the speaker of the parliament implied that I left the country after Dr.Afrasheem was killed. I never went to Qatar who left Maldives that night and this was not even in the investigative report. 

“With the will of Allah, I will not be threatened. My political and religious works cannot be stopped and we will not bow down to the MDP” said Dr.Shaheem.
