Retired Brigadier General Ibrahim Didi has called on Maldivian politicians not to politicize issues related to Maldives Police Service and Maldivian National Defence Force. 

He said that issues related to these two institutions should be resolved professionally. 

Furthermore, he said that the police and the MNDF are strategic assets of the country and that there might be problems with them as we all are humans. He said that such problems should be resolved professionally. 

Brigadier Didi made this statement after former President Nasheed claimed that the security forces are under the influence of the so called “dark state”. 

Meanwhile Defence Minister Mariya Didi and Home Minister Imran Abdullah has been refuting such statements by former President Nasheed.
