Lawyers of former President Yameen has appealed his jail verdict today.

The Criminal Court of the Maldives sentenced President Yameen to 5 years in prison after declaring him guilty of money laundering charges.

His lawyers appealed the case the Criminal Court and requested to transfer him to house arrest.
