Sheikh Ali Zaid have stated that there will be no peace until Qisas is implemented.

Zaid made this statement after a 59 year old taxi driver was brutally killed last night. He tweeted saying that Allah sent down hudud punishments for a reason and that the person who kills another person intentionally should be killed as a punishment. He said that it would be a lesson for others.

The 59 year old taxi driver was found on a poorly lit street of Hulhumale’ with a stab wound to the neck. He passed away soon after he was taken to the hospital.

At the moment Maldives Police Service is conducting an operation to search for his killers.
