President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has today ratified the second amendment to the “Former Presidents Protection and Benefit Bill” (Act No. 9/2009).

The amendment was passed by the Parliament at the 73rd sitting of its third session, on 02nd December 2019.

Upon ratification, the Act has been published in the ‎Government Gazette.‎

The amendment revokes article 10 (b) of the Act and makes Article 10 (a) as Article 10 only.
