British Ambassador to the Maldives Caron Rhosler has met with Imams of mosques in Addu City.

She met them during her ongoing visit to Addu City. According to Addu City council her meeting was to inquire about the work of the Imams and the challenges they face.

The ambassador asked the Imams why youths commit crime and what they have been doing to address it. She said that the role of the Imams are important in educating the people on acts of terrorism. She also said that the media should also report on these matters.

The ambassador also visited a mosque today after the meeting.
