Ibrahim Hood the spokesperson of President Ibrahim Mohammed Solih has stated that no foreign party has expressed concern over former President Yameen’s jail sentence.

He stated this while speaking to Miadhu News. Hoodh said that as far as he know, till now no foreign parties or countries have inquired the government regarding President Yameen’s jail sentence.

President Yameen’s supporters protested in front of the UN building in Male’ yesterday. Previously President Yameen stated that foreigners should not intervene in internal affairs of Maldives.

During President Yameen’s administration when foreign parties called to free some political leaders, he said that the international community should not interfere in local politics.
