Former Islamic Minister Dr.Shaheem Ali Saeed has stated that Saudi Arabia never supported extremism.

Dr.Shaheem said that, he condemns the statement made by former President Nasheed saying that the universities in Saudi Arabia promotes extremism. He said that the former President made this statement without knowing anything about the education provided by universities in Saudi Arabia. 

It should be noted that Dr.Shaheem plays a key role in combating extremism in his role as the advisor to the secretary general of the OIC.
