Foreign Minister of the Maldives Abdullah Shahid has thé government of China for developing the eye center at Hulhumale Hospital.

The minister quoted a tweet by the Chinese ambassador to Maldives Zhang Lizhong and said that the eye center is another positive development in Maldives-China relationship. He further stated that he is looking forward to working even more closely this year on that project and various other mutually beneficial projects.

The eye center is scheduled to open in two weeks and a leading eye doctor from China is in the Maldives to set up the center.
