Maldives Airports Company Limited has requested passengers to report to Velana International Airport three hours before the departure time. 

A tweeted by MACL states that traffic congestion are anticipated these days at Velana International Airport. As this is the holiday season many tourists are visiting Maldives and also many Maldivians are travelling within the country.

Since late December passengers have been experiencing delays at airports across the country.
