New deans have been appointed to the Islamic University of Maldives. 

Dr.Abdullah Jameel was appointed as the dean for center for postgraduate studies while Dr.Ismail Shafee was appointed as the dean for center for research and publications. 

In addition Ishaq Muhammadfulhu was appointed as the dean of Kulliyya of Arabic Language while Dr.Aishath Reesha was appointed as the dean of Kulliyyah of Education. Ahmed Saleem Hussein was appointed as the dean of Kulliyyah of Islamic revealed knowledge and Shujaau Abdul Hakeem was appointed as the dean of Kulliyyah of Shariah and Law. 

The deans were appointed for a period of 4 years. New deans were appointed as the previous deans completed their terms. 

Deans are appointed after an interview procedure by the senate of the university.
