Fly Me a domestic airline operated by Villa Air, has expressed concerns as the airline did not get space from the new sea plane terminal.

Villa Air stated that since 2013 they have requested for space from the sea plane terminal as they intend to begin sea plane operations. However so far they did not get any response from relevant authorities according to Villa.

Even though Villa Air brought a sea plane to Maldives, they had to sell the flight as they could not get the permission to operate the plane. They stated that they faced a loss of 4.2 million dollars as a result.

Villa Air stated that the authorities giving space for Manta Air to operate sea planes from the new terminal shows that the government is favoring specific companies.
