Spokesperson of covid-19 taskforce Mabrook Azeez said that the second covid-19 positive Maldivian’s sample was taken on 27th March. 

Mabrook said that the individual arrived from the United Kingdom and was held in quarantine at Royal Island Resort. He developed covid-19 like symptoms and was tested and the results turned positive today. 

Meanwhile two Italians who left Maldives were also found to be positive for the covid-19. It was known after they left the country. At the moment there are 4 active cases of covid-19 in Maldives. They are two Maldivians and two foreigners.
