Vice President Faisal Naseem visited Thilafushi Island Yesturday  and visited several sites for developmental projects undertaken by the Housing Development Corporation (HDC). He also received a brief visual presentation of the Thilafushi Island Phase 2 Master Plan, prior to his visit to the sites.

The Vice President held discussions during the visit regarding the projects to be initiated on the island. He toured the ongoing Thilafushi Island Phase 2 land reclamation area and visited the chemical warehouse operated by HDC.

Vice President Faisal Naseem also visited the Maldives Transport Contracting Company's (MTCC) premises and a dockyard operated in Thilafushi Island.

The chemical warehouse on Thilafushi Island, by HDC, consists of 34 units leased to private parties. HDC's 127-hectare Phase 2 Thilafushi land reclamation project is subcontracted to MTCC.
