At a ceremony held at Hotel Jen this evening, Nestlé Milo has signed as the platinum partner of “Tekkers Milo Championship 2021”, the largest ever futsal tournament to be held in the Maldives. The tournament will be open to all the islands, cities and resorts of the Maldives. Mr. Dishan Wijewardene, the Country Business Manager for Maldives sales signed on behalf of Nestlé Lanka PLC. 

At today’s ceremony, some other famous companies in Maldives also signed as the gold and silver partners. Ooredoo, which has greatly supported sports in the Maldives signed as the gold partner.

It was announced that the tournament will begin in Malé City in the second week of September, provided permission is granted by HPA. Tekkers Maldives said that the tournament will proceed with all the information and videos available for viewing on their website.

Nestlé Milo has a reputation for widely supporting sports in the Maldives with their extensive assistance. Particularly, their program to make children get involved in football has been well known. Their assistance to various clubs in support of various sports activities has also been noted and appreciated by the clubs.
