H.E. President Dr Mohamed Muizzu congratulated H.E. Tshering Tobgay, following his election as the next Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Bhutan.

In his message, the President stated that Bhutan would attain additional advancement under the leadership of Prime Minister Tshering. He stated that he looked forward to working closely with the Prime Minister-elect to enhance and strengthen the close relations between the two countries.

President Dr Muizzu additionally highlighted on the Maldives and Bhutan's strong bilateral relations based on mutual trust and goodwill, and wished for the friendly relations between the Maldives and Bhutan to continue flourishing in the years ahead.
