State Electric Company Limited (STELCO) has secured the first place and been  awarded the special price  in the state-owned enterprise category of the Maldives Expo 2025.

With the special achievement, STELCO attributed the success to the hardworking and extremely Skilled staff of the company. 

Expressing its gratitude to Allah SHW, management of STELCO said the success showcased the result of using the Regional SCADA system.

SCADA stands for “Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition.” It is a control system that uses computers, networked data communications, and graphical Human Machine Interfaces (HMIs) to manage and control industrial processes. 

Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition systems (SCADA) are essential to a wide range of industries and are broadly used for controlling and monitoring processes. 

STELCO said the system helps to overcome any problems effectively, and are prominently used because they have the power to control, monitor, and transmit data in a smart and seamless manner.

At the awards ceremony, held Thursday night at the Maldives Centre for Social Education (MCSE), the awards were handed away by President Muizzu.
