State Electric Company Limited (STELCO) has said its main target is to upgrade its services and reduce power cuts as much as possible.  STELCO said this in a statement released after winning the first place in the state-owned enterprise category of the Maldives Expo 2025.

STELCO  said the company’s success was the result of using Regional SCADA system, which allows effective and proper  transmission of  data in a smart and seamless manner.

It said the company is working even at present to reduce technical issues as much as possible, and give special attention to ensure uninterrupted services to customers as this would be their main demand. 

STELCO noted that given the close proximity of households in the conjested Male City , even a brief  power cut is  felt seriously.
