68 young people have completed Four Seasons Hospitality Apprenticeship Program.

Upto 68 enthusiastic young people have completed the latest round of the Hospitality Apprenticeship Program offered by Four Seasons Resorts Maldives, aimed at training suitable staff for recruitment in the resorts. 

A total of 73 youth also joined the round of the training slated for 2026. 

Four Seasons Hospitality Apprenticeship Program is a government-accredited initiative that has trained close to one thousand Maldivians across key hospitality disciplines, including food & beverage, front office, maritime transport, engineering, and diving. 

A special function was held at MNU auditorium to give away certificates to the batch of 68 graduates who completed the 2025 program, and certificates were given away  to them by the Deen of College of Ocean and Fisheries Resources Dr Ahmed Riyaaz Jauhary.

In his comments at the function Dr Riyaz said it is not only the resorts that benefit from an apprentice program like this, but the whole country will benefit from it one way or the other.  He said that as Tourism industry makes the highest contribution to National GDP, training programs like this would definitely help to boost the country’s economy, taking it to a higher level. 

Addressing the event, General Manager of Four Seasons Landaa Giraavaru Armando Kraenzlin highlighted on the efforts by the Resort group to train youth in the hospitality field. He noted that it’s been 25 years since the program was launched and has been receiving an unanticipated level of support , with upto 997 people trained so far.

The youth who completed the program also expressed their gratitude for having been selected for the program, stating that they had received knowledge as well practical training in a number of fields.

Out of the 68 people who completed this year’s training, 19 were granted an opportunity to pursue a further one year of training, to a higher level.

The 73 youth who were accepted for the 2026 program were also accorded a warm welcome at the function.
