Will allocate maximum to ensure full resources: Shafeeu

Education Ministry’s State Minister Ahmed Shafeeu has said that the Ministry will spend the maximum amount from the allocated budget to ensure that the schools had adequate resources.
Speaking to press in the Ministry, Shafeeu noted that most schools in the country needed assistance and resources. He said that major projects will be carried out in over 30 schools with around 100 schools undergoing various projects as of now.
Shafeeu added that resources such as laboratories and bathrooms were being created to ensure that all schools were equipped with required resources and are modern schools. He noted there have been many schools neglected over the years adding that intensive work had to be carried out in those schools.
Shafeeu said that under the PSIP the government had fixed a budget of MVR 356 million for such projects and added that this was one of the largest sums allocated to such an initiative.
