“European Clinic Maldives” has been opened in Hulhumale’ today. The clinic aims to provide health care that is of European standards to Maldivians at an affordable price. The clinic was officially opened by Deputy Health Minister Rafeeu.

Even though the clinic was opened today, it will be open to the public after a week. Services from this clinic include, general consultation, emergency health care, surgeries, and medical care for pregnant mothers. In addition, laboratory service, will also be available at the clinic.

European doctors will work at the clinic and European medicine will be sold at the clinic’s pharmacy. In addition, they provide house visits, and also visits to tourist resorts and guesthouses.

Founder and MD of the clinic, Mr. Franco said that he has been visiting Maldives for last 30 years and he opened this clinic because he wanted to provide European level medical care to the many European tourists who visit Maldives. He also said that he aims to develop the health sector of Maldives by opening this clinic.

“ I do not want to talk so much about this. I want to provide world class health care and show it. We will do it. “ said Franko.

Deputy Minister Rafeeu said that even though there is a hospital in Hulhumale’ opening of a world class clinic in Hulhumale’ will benefit all Maldivians, residents of Hulhumale’ and tourists in the resorts and Guest Houses as well.

The clinic also plans to provide tele medicine service. So, through the clinic, patients will be able to connect to world class hospitals and doctors.

According to the officials of the clinic, they will provide services at competitive prices.
