Youth Minister Mohamed Maleeh Jamal has said that the Maldivian youth should emulate the character and personality of national heroes such as Mohammed Thakurufaanu.
Youth Minister Maleeh Jamal made this remark speaking at the special ceremony held to mark the National Day of Maldives at Haa Alif Utheem. He said that the youth of Maldives should take Mohammed Thakurufaanu as an example of valour and bravery for the sake of the Islamic faith and nationalistic spirit.
Maleeh said that the youth are the foundation of the development and progress of a nation and therefore it is important to make the youth as leaders who will shape the future of the Maldives.
Maleeh also underscored the importance of working together for the sake of the nation and the people for the betterment of the nation and the people.
In addition to this Minister Maleeh noted that Maldives is now witnessing gloomy days and the social fabric of the Maldivian society are torn apart and the economy of Maldives is collapsing.
He said that the youth should stand up to rectify these problems and to make the future of the Maldives very bright.
