Maldives Inland Revenue Authority MIRA has filed a case against Villa Shipping stating that Villa has to pay tax and fines to the state.
MIRA has filed three separate cases against Villa and are demanding to pay more than 75 million Rufiyaa.
The first case is for GST and fines for late GST payment. Villa has to pay 7.4 million Rufiyaa in this case.
The second case is regarding GST and TGST and Villa has to pay 49 million Rufiyaa.
The third case is regarding GRT and Villa has to pay 18.5 million Rufiyaa in this case.
Meanwhile Villa Group stated that they do not have to pay any money to the state. Villa Group has filed a case to the Supreme Court regarding this matter previously.
