MP Faaris Maumoon's hearing regarding the bribery case is to be held tomorrow at the criminal court.

In tomorrow's hearing the last proposition from Faaris will be submitted. Previously his lawyers requested to invalidate the charges against him. The court will begin official hearings after making a decision about the propositions made by Faaris. The current hearings are pre-trial hearings.

Faaris was charged with bribery soon after a petition to remove parliament speaker Maseeh was submitted to the parliament. The state charges him for bribing the parliament members to sign the petition. Faaris has denied the charges.

Faaris was arrested in July 2017 and the court ordered to keep him in detained till the trial is over.
