32 thalassemia patients are to under go bone marrow transplant.

Previously, 23 children underwent bone marrow transplant and 14 of them survived. With the 32 additional patients, the current administration has provided 55 patients with the funds to undergo bone marrow transplant.

Bone marrow transplant costs a lot and hence government uses the Zakath Fund, to finance the transplant. Bone marrow transplant is the only permanent solution for thalassemia patients and it is like saving the life of such patients.

Parents of such patients are thankful to the government and the Zakath Fund for this help.
