An information session on the investment opportunities at Emboodhoo Lagoon has begun at the National Art Gallery.
Speaking at the session, Tourism Minister Moosa Zameer said that, the fact that there are many foreign investors interested in the project shows that the investor confidence in Maldives is increasing.
He said that, this is a result of the policies of the President Yameen’s administration. He said that the government is expecting more investments in the coming days.
He said that today it can be seen that people who are interested in investing in Maldives is increasing. “This is the development we see because 1 billion dollars was invested in the airport” said the minister.
Furthermore, he said that some people question whether Maldives can increase the number of tourist arrivals to match the increase in number of tourist beds and that the answer is it can be done through various projects like the Emboodhoo Lagoon project.
