Adhalath Party have stated that Imran has been in prison for 1000 days and even if reaches 2000 days. AP will continue to do their work until the situation of the country is changed.
In a press conference held by AP today, Shidhatha Shareef said that AP left the ruling coalition to ensure that the rights of the people are ensured and hence AP will remain doing that. Shidhatha further said that the people believes that the charges against Sheikh Imran were politically motivated and the statement issued by Adeeb yesterday also supports this belief. She said that hence, AP wants state institutions to investigate what Adeeb said in the statement.
Shidhatha said that, even back then there were people who could not believe what Imran was saying but today all Maldivians will know that Imran was telling the truth. Shidhatha also invited the members who left the party during those times. “Even now some members joined back the party. I welcome them” said Shidhatha.
