Maldives Police Service has sent a summon order to Ahmed Shafeeq a member of the legal team of Villa Group.

He is being summoned because of the statement issued by Villa after Police and Customs conducted an operation on Fun Island Resort. According to Villa Group, the police seized alcohol from the resort without a court order. Villa also publicized the names of the Customs and Police officers who took part in the operation. Police warned that they will investigate the matter seriously.

Ahmed Shafeeq has served at Maldives Police Service for a long time.
