President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom has sent a message of condolence to the President of the United Arab Emirates, His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, following the demise of his beloved mother, the Late Sheikha Hessa bint Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Nahyan.

The President’s message reads as follows:

“I was deeply saddened to hear the news of the passing away of your beloved mother, the Late Sheikha Hessa bint Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Nahyan.”

“At this time of grief, the Government and the people of the Maldives join me in extending our sincere condolences to Your Highness, your family and the brotherly people of the United Arab Emirates.”

“Surely to Allah do we belong and surely to Him is our return.”
