Supreme Court has asked the opposition to bring some amendments to the documents submitted in the impeachment case against President Yameen.
The case was submitted to the Supreme Court by former President Maumoon, former President Nasheed, leader of JP Qasim Ibrahim and deputy leader of AP Ali Zahir.
Former President Nasheed tweeted today saying that, the court has asked them to bring some amendments to the documents they submitted regarding the case. The opposition filed a case to the Supreme Court asking to temporarily remove President Yameen saying that he does not meet the conditions required to hold office because of the numerous corruption cases of which he is suspected of.
The president of the vice president can be removed from the position through an impeachment motion by the parliament. It will be the Supreme Court which will have the final say in motions passed by the parliament.
