MP for Dhiggaru constituency Faaris Maumoon have said that he does not get legal protection and that the institutions are trying to destroy him. He said this while speaking at a hearing held at Criminal Court today.
Faaris said that he does not get any legal protection and that the state institutions are discriminating him.
“I do not get legal protection. An influential group of people are trying to destroy me. The institutions are trying to isolate me. I do not believe that I will get justice” said Faaris.
Faaris was freed by the Criminal Court last Thursday. However, he was arrested again on Saturday. In today’s hearing Faaris tried to talked about his second arrest but Judge Ali Adam did not give that chance.
