Defense Minister Adam Shareef Umar have stated that there are matters of concerns in the Supreme Court verdict. He said that the AG is looking into the Supreme Court verdict now.

Speaking at a press conference held by the government tonight, the minister said that since the court verdict orders the government to do many things, the government is trying to implement the verdict.

In addition he asked the public to take caution since there might be events that might endanger national security. He asked the public to cooperate with the security services. AG Anil said that since they did not get the Supreme Court verdict in an official manner they are trying to verify the authenticity of the verdict.

He said that the President tried to contact CP Areef tonight, but since he was unreachable and hence was dismissed from his position. Right now the acting CP is deputy commissioner of police Ahmed Saudy.
