Former Speaker of the parliament, Abdullah Shahid has called to take action regarding the delay in implementing the Supreme Court verdict.
He said that in this situation it is upto the PG to take action and that the Supreme Court has ordered the PG to charge those who obstruct in implementing the court verdict.
Abdullah Shahid made this statement during a time when people are expressing their concerns after the government refused to implement the court verdict even though it is almost 24 hours since the Supreme Court issued it.
Families of the people who were acquitted by the Supreme Court say that they have lost hope that the government will implement it.
Former Vice President Adeeb who was also freed by the Supreme Court has been changed to Maafushi Prison. So far the government has not freed anyone.
