78 lawyers have issued a signed statement asking the government to implement the Supreme Court verdict ordering to free political detainees and to reinstate the 12 parliamentarians who were unseated previously.

The statement says that since Supreme Court is the highest court, the orders of the court should be obeyed without any reviews. The statement calls all the relevant authorities to implement the verdict.

Former Attorney General Husnul Suood and Dhiyana Saeed are among the signatories of the statement.
