Prosecutor General has submitted a case regarding the recent Supreme Court verdict ordering to free political prisoners.

A statement issued by the PG office states that they have submitted a case to the Supreme Court after highlighting various points on the Supreme Court verdict and asked to issue a separate verdict for each case.

Lawyers and families of those who were acquitted by the Supreme Court are raising concerns because so far the government has not freed them.

Legal experts in the country are criticizing the government saying that AG and PG has no role in implementing the Supreme Court order.
