MP for Dhiggaru constituency Faaris Maumoon has been freed while, his father former President Maumoon and his son in law Nadheem are in jail
The Criminal Court ordered to free Faaris last night and he was freed this morning. Hence it is believed that he was freed because of the Criminal Court order and not the Supreme Court order. Faaris Maumoon’s lawyer Maumoon Hameed said that he is unsure for how long Faaris can stay free.
Police entered Maumoon’s residence last night and arrested Maumoon and his son in law Nadheem. Both of them were taken to Dhoonidhoo. Hence it is a historic night because three people from Endherimaage were spending the night in jail.
