Ahmed Shaheerthe Managing Director of STO has resigned. The company is being managed at the moment by the CFO of STO Mohammed Mihad.
Shaheer worked at STO for 25 years. During his time STO he headed STO and played a vital role in founding subsidiary companies such as STO Gas, Lafarge cement and STO’s roofing sheet manufacturing company. He has also been in the board of these companies.
Shaheer completed his higher studies in Australia and is known to be a capable person. STO faced financial challenges because government owned companies do not repay their debts to STO on time. President Yameen is directly to be blamed for such things.
STO is among the most profitable state owned companies.
