Pension Office Partners with UNDP Maldives for The Maldives Finance Forum 2026

Pension Office has partnered with the

UNDP Maldives for the 13th Maldives Finance Forum, scheduled to take place on 14 November 2026 at DusitD2 Feydhoo Maldives.

This year's Forum, themed “Green Finance: Unlocking Sustainable Investment and Financial Security in the Maldives,” will bring together policymakers, financial sector professionals, industry experts and key stakeholders to explore opportunities for advancing green finance and sustainable investment in the Maldives.

Through this collaboration, Pension Office and UNDP Maldives aim to facilitate meaningful discussions on developing the green finance market, mobilising sustainable investment and strengthening the country's long-term economic and financial resilience.

As a long-term institutional investor responsible for managing members' retirement savings, Pension Office recognises the importance of a resilient economy and a well-developed investment market in supporting long-term financial security. The Forum provides an opportunity to examine the potential of green finance to broaden sustainable investment opportunities and contribute to the development of the Maldivian capital market.

For UNDP Maldives, advancing sustainable finance is closely connected to its broader efforts to support climate resilience and sustainable development. Strengthening access to climate and green finance can help mobilise investment towards development priorities, support climate adaptation and create opportunities for sustainable economic growth.

By bringing together perspectives from the financial and development sectors, the collaboration aims to encourage informed dialogue on the opportunities and practical considerations involved in advancing green finance in the Maldives.

Organised annually by Pension Office, the Maldives Finance Forum serves as a platform for dialogue on key financial and economic issues affecting the Maldives. Now in its 13th edition, the Forum brings together local and international experts to exchange perspectives, explore emerging opportunities and discuss developments shaping the country's financial sector.
