Former President Nasheed has submitted an application form to take part in MDP’s primary election that will be held to determine the party’s candidate for the upcoming parliamentary elections.
President Nasheed plans to run for Mahchangoalhi Medhu constituency. He started his campaign last week. If he wins the primary, he will be the first former president of Maldives to contest in parliamentary elections.
