President Ibrahim Mohammed Solih has stated that he hopes India and Maldives will strengthen economic, political and cultural relations.
The president made this statement in a message sent to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Indian President on the occasion of the 70th Republic Day of India.
In two separate messages sent by the President, he conveyed greetings to the government of India and to the people of India on behalf of the government of Maldives and the people of Maldives.
President Solih also highlighted the historic relations enjoyed between the two countries and thanked India for their help in the development of Maldives. President Solih wished a bright and a prosperous future for the people of India.
