Former President Mohammed Nasheed has stated that President Solih will not support candidates from any other parties in the upcoming parliamentary elections.
Speaking at an event held to launch an MDP campaign event, the former president said that MDP candidates can only win if all MDP members of that constituency vote for the MDP candidate. He said that the president or he will not support any other candidate.
Nasheed said that all constituencies have enough MDP members to ensure a win for MDP candidates.
He said that the people know what they want and to achieve that MDP must get a majority in the parliament.
MDP is contesting for 86 seats out of the 87 seats in the parliamentary election.
