Yacht Tours has appealed the Civil Court verdict ordering to pay 29 million dollars to the state.
The High Court of the Maldives has registered the appeal case filed by Yacht Tours.
In June 2018, the Civil Court ordered Yacht Tours to pay 29 million dollars to the state after the inland revenue authority filed a case against the company because they did not pay rent and fines for Alidhoo Resort owned by Yacht Tours.
The company’s accounts have been frozen after they refused to pay the money.
29 million dollars is around 443 million Maldivian Rufiyaa.
