President Yameen will not be taking part in President-elect Solih’s inauguration ceremony according to his spokesperson Muaaz Ali.
Muaz tweeted saying that President Yameen will not take part in the ceremony because his supporters do not wish him to do so and to respect their decision, he will not attend the ceremony.
The parliament has invited all former presidents and state dignitaries to the function. Former presidents Maumoon, Nasheed and Dr.Waheed will take part in the ceremony. President Maumoon and President Nasheed also took part in President Yameen’s inauguration ceremony.
