While President Yameen’s administration has ended at 1321 hours today, as one of the final acts of his administration Maldives Police Service has pepper sprayed crowds gathered near the Housing Ministry.
People who waited outside to get the flat confirmation slip, were asked to leave without handing over the slip and when some of them entered the building, the police pepper sprayed them.
Maldivians will not forget this moment, when they were pepper sprayed just because they wanted a shelter.
President Yameen’s legacy will be remembered as the President who wasted the most amount of public funds and who pepper sprayed the public the most.
