Deputy President of MDP Mohammed Shifaz has been appointed as a minister at the President’s Office. In addition, former chairman of Rajje TV Akram Kamaaluddeen has been appointed as a state minister at Ministry of National Planning and Infrastructure Development.
An official at the president’s office has confirmed these appointments. With the appointment of Shifaz, there will be three ministers at the president’s office. They are Shifaz, former Foreign Minister Naseem and former Deputy Chairperson of MDP Ali Shiyam.
In addition there are 8 appointees at the president’s office with the same level as a state minister.
