Andhun Hussein Shaheem has won the MDP ticket for Henveyru Dhekunu constituency after defeating Rukuma Mohammed Abdul Kareem who is the sitting MP for the constituency.
Hussein won the primary with 357 votes. Meanwhile Rukuma got 345 votes.
Andhun Hussein thanked MDP members for their support and the campaign team for their efforts.
Andhun Hussein is a close associate of former President Nasheed.
