People’s National Congress have held the inaugural session of the party. In the session, the party elected an interim governing committee, a president and two vice presidents.
The party elected MP Abduh Raheem the MP for Fonadhoo constituency as the president and former defence Minister Adam Shareef and former Economic Minister Mohammed Saeedh as vice presidents.
Speaking at the inaugural session Abduh Raheem stated that the party’s aim is to win the next presidential elections. He also said that the party’s ideology is President Yameen’s ideology and said that the party is President Yameen’s party.
Former President Yameen took part in the session as a special guest. At the moment President Yameen is the president of PPM.
