Maldives Police Service has revealed that Hassan Lutfy the president of the Anti-Corruption Commission is under investigation for money laundering.
Even though MPS confirmed that they have launched an investigation, they refused to comment any further.
According to some sources members of the Anti-Corruption Commission are allegedly involved in the MMPRC embezzlement scandal. The report published by the ACC regarding the scandal does not name any members of ACC or individuals linked to the members of ACC.
Sources say that Hassan Lutfy is in Malaysia at the moment. His family resides in Malaysia.
