Criminal Court has ordered to detain former President Yameen until the end of the trial.
The former president is being charged with money laundering after SOF a company which is believed to have laundered money embezzled from MMPRC transferred one million dollars to his account.
In a hearing held at the Criminal Court today, the court ordered to detain the former president after the PG requested to detain him.
Former President Yameen has denied all allegations against him and stated that the money which was transferred to his account was legit money donated to him for campaign activities by well-wishers.
